Jemp energy

JEMP ENERGY BUSINESS MODEL is designed as a startup with the ability to scale-up. Since inception, organizationally we had a clear vision that our foundation would be to build a regional energy company, contributing to the local community, and to be an “Agent of Change” for transformation and change we are a part of.
With that in mind, our business had a mandate to “Add Value to our shareholders’ investments by implementing power generation plants and commercializing the energy derived from alternative sources in the Brazilian Free Market”.
Despite being a Startup, Jemp Energy was born with the DNA of Social Environment and Governance (ESG), attentive to the socio-environmental contribution, providing development in the communities where it will exert influence.

E S G
As we operate in the generation of electricity from renewable sources, our operations will contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions, helping our country to meet the UN's global goals. From development to operation, we will follow International Guidelines such as, for example, the Performance Standards of the IFC – International Finance Corporation (ESG Performance Standards) in all phases of our projects. We take responsibility for making investments that prioritize ESG and are committed to implementing measures to enforce all associated performance standards.

We will create the tools for the companies we do business with to also practice applicable ESG laws, regulations and policies. As an energy generating company, Jemp Energy will seek to ensure that the companies involved in its implementation and operation process adhere to social and environmental sustainability standards. All contracts and documents entered into with the partner or supplier will contain appropriate representations, warranties and obligations, requiring that they comply with the ESG aspects provided for in applicable laws and regulations. Other documents relating to the alleged partner or supplier will also have to establish formal provisions to comply with such matters, such as memoranda of understanding, confidentiality agreements and similar documents.

Jemp Energy professionals will be selected and hired according to criteria that favor ESG practices and that enable the creation and maintenance of a corporate environment that adheres to the defined ESG policies. Jemp Energy ESG Director will oversee ESG issues, ensure that resources are available for environmental management, and sign the annual environmental performance report.
